3 Bundles For Good Causes (That You Might Have Missed)

It feels like the world is on fire, and everyone around you is crying out for help. With so many causes trying to get your attention, I wanted to take a moment to talk about some of the ones that have come across my feed recently. And if you're in the market for some solid bundles of TTRPG materials, then I'd highly recommend checking out the following bundles, and the causes they're going to support!

Lastly, if YOU know of a charity bundle that I didn't cover that goes to a good cause, please leave it in the comments down below so we can all see it!

We all need help sometimes...

But before I get into the meat of today's post, remember, don't forget to sign up for my weekly newsletter to get all my updates right in your inbox. Also, if you've got a bit of spare cash that you'd like to use to help keep the wheels turning, consider becoming a Patreon patron! #1: Owen K.C. Stephens Summer of Survival!

In case you haven't seen this one yet...

Folks in the RPG world likely know Owen K.C. Stephens, even if they don't recognize his name. A contributor to Pathfinder, the father of Starfinder, and someone who has been making RPGs since before I even started playing, he's had one hell of a rough go the past few years. He's beaten cancer, he's fighting off half a dozen other illnesses, and at time of writing is grappling with a loss in the family. Bill collectors are circling like sharks, so if you haven't grabbed the Summer of Survival bundle, get yourself a copy while it's still up, and help one of our own keep his head above water!

#2: The Palestine Relief Bundle

The conflict is terrible, and the people need all the help they can get.

The ongoing genocide in Gaza is a tragedy, and one of the biggest struggles for the victims of this unnecessary aggression is just getting food. This Librarians and Leviathans bundle goes to support the Sameer Project, which is a charity providing food for the civilians in Gaza. It's got quite a number of products and projects in it, and the money is going to an objectively good cause.

#3: The Fuck Cancer Bundle

It's my blog, I don't have to censor that word.

Cancer is the worst, and fighting it isn't just physically hard for sufferers; it's financially ruinous (hence the first bundle in this week's post needing to exist). From Infinium Game Studios, this bundle is meant to help provide money to cancer charities. It's a little on the older side, having been up since 2021, and there isn't a specific charity listed as the beneficiary of the bundle. However, despite that, I'd still recommend giving the Fuck Cancer Charity Bundle a look for yourself!

Sundara is On Sale (For 1 Week Only)!

As my regular readers know, I've been putting out content for my Sundara: Dawn of a New Age fantasy TTRPG setting for just over 3 years now. I've covered many of the fantastical places in the setting, along with delving into the different species that players have access to in Sundara, and I've put out dozens of factions including mercenary companies, cults, guilds, and even merchant houses. And as if all of that wasn't enough, there's also half a dozen audio dramas on the Azukail Games YouTube channel set in this place to give listeners a little taste of the kinds of stories they're going to run into when they crack the covers on one of these splat books.

And if you've been looking to get into this setting, we have a DND 5E bundle for Sundara going on right now!

Before we get into the nitty gritty this week, don't forget to sign up for my weekly newsletter to get all my updates right in your inbox. What You'll Find in This Bundle!

I know this is Crunch week, but given that this is a 1-week bundle, I wanted to make sure that folks heard about it before it was gone. So, what is included in this package, and what does it do for you as a player, Game Master, or both? In a mechanical sense?

There's a LOT of nonsense in here...

Well, this bundle contains:

- All 5 Cities of Sundara Splats: These books come with maps, plot hooks, NPCs, location history, district-by-district breakdowns, and usually some extra mechanical pieces like write-ups for unique animals, new Backgrounds for players to use, air or spell-based firearms, etc.

- All 6 Species of Sundara Splats: These each offer 5 subraces for players and GMs alike to use, and it covers elves, dwarves, orcs, gnomes, halflings, and the Blooded (half-elves and half-orcs in one).

- Sellswords of Sundara: A book of mercenary companies, this one has subclasses for fighters, barbarians, monks, rangers, and more!

- Gods and Cults of Sundara: These 2 splats contain unique rules for followers of the gods, as well as magic items one will find in the hands of various cults throughout the setting.

- Guilds of Sundara: In addition to providing GMs with a collection of guilds that come with NPCs, rumors, plot hooks, history, etc., there are also a selection of fresh feats that can be used by players to tie them more closely to these organizations.

- A Dekas of Sundaran Alchemical Constructs: A handy guide full of weird equipment, this pairs particularly well with the aether weapons found in the Cities of Sundara book for Silkgift, where these air-powered guns first debuted!

So, all in all, that's 16 splat books for about $30 and change. And if you bought all of them separately, that would run you over $60... so you're currently looking at a lot of new toys to play with for 50% off this week!

And best of all, Sundara is designed to act as a kind of modular setting. So if you like the idea of these books, but you'd still rather run them in your own setting, they're kind of designed for exactly that kind of setup! So whether it's a city, a species, a guild, or a cult, you can take the parts you like and import them into your own game world with very little additional work on your part! I actually talked about it a while back, for those who are curious about this setting's modular design style.

If You Don't Play DND 5E, Stay Tuned!

Several folks have mentioned that they like the idea of Sundara, and they would get this bundle, but their table doesn't play DND 5E, so it wouldn't really be something they'd use. If that's the case, don't fret, there's more on the way!

Because while there have been talks to expand Sundara into a variety of other game systems, most of those haven't happened yet. However, it is available for Pathfinder classic, and that bundle is coming down the pipe! So if there's a particular supplement that catches your eye, or you just want to grab one to see what the fuss is about, I'd definitely urge you to do that. But if you're totally onboard, and you just want to get a version of the game you will actually use, then make sure you follow all my social media pages because when the next bundle drops I'm going to make sure everyone hears about it!

More RPG Bundles and Products To Help Owen KC Stephens In His Battle With Cancer!

As most members of the TTRPG community know by now, Owen KC Stephens is battling cancer. This has been the case for a while, and since Owen is one of my fellow American creators, he's got a two-front war to fight; one against cancer, and one against capitalism. Since healthcare in America has its hand in your pocket up to the elbow, he needs all the help he can get!

Which is why, first and foremost, I wanted to remind everyone to donate to Owen's Go Fund Me to cover his cancer payments. This is the most direct way to help, and it is one of the best ways to provide assistance.

With that said, if you're someone who likes TTRPG products and bundles, but you still want the proceeds to go to a good cause, then check out the list below!

There's some great stuff in here!

Bundles, Art, and More!

Look at this awesome thing!

At the top of the order we've got the Owen Stephens is... RAD! bundle. This bundle has well over $1,000 worth of supplements in it for Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, D20 Modern, Starfinder, Star Wars, Call of Cthulhu, and many, many more... all of it for about $30 or so.

That is a deal you absolutely cannot beat! And if you haven't grabbed your copy of this yet, you should put it in your cart ASAP so that you don't miss out, and so that Owen can get one more arrow in his quiver for winning this fight.

And some great stock art for those who missed it!

For those who didn't see this stylish piece of stock art from Publisher's Choice stock art, Owen The Sage is another fun piece whose proceeds go to help Owen win his fight, and get back on his feet so he can keep doing what he does best for many years to come! Whether you just want to have a fun little piece of art for your home game, or you feel like Owen's all-knowing art would be an ideal addition to your supplement, don't let this one pass you by either!

This is all we have going on for now, but you can rest assured that as new bundles crop up I'll be doing my best to boost the signal on them!

One of My TTRPG Supplements Has Gone Platinum (And a Few Others Are Close Behind)!

The past few weeks have been... an ordeal over on Drive Thru RPG. The site has been working on a huge overhaul for a long time, and it's finally removed the option for all of us to go back to the legacy version of the site. This has thrown a real spanner into the works for those of us who are writing supplements, since the new versions of the various pages aren't showing previews, and are causing headaches all around while we try to get eyes on our projects.

With all of this chaos happening, I needed a bit of good news... and I got some! Because my supplement 100 NPCs You Might Meet at The Tavern has just gone platinum!

And hopefully it's got some gas left in the tank, as well!

Before we get into the nitty gritty this week, don't forget to sign up for my weekly newsletter to get all my updates right in your inbox. Going Beyond Gold

In addition to this latest accomplishment (which I didn't see coming, honestly), I've got several supplements that have reached Gold status that are still clawing their way up the metal categories on DTRPG. For example, the follow-up to this platinum seller was my Starfinder supplement 100 Characters You Might Meet in a Star Port Bar, and it broke the Gold limit a couple months back. It is one of two sci-fi supplements of mine that's made it into this category, the other being 100 Space Bars.

So check it out, if you haven't yet!

The other entries of mine that have made it into the Gold category are fantasy supplements. Leading the pack is 100 Random Taverns, which is one of the earliest pieces I wrote for Azukail Games. In addition to the tavern collection, though, there's also my supplement 100 Merchants to Encounter which, if I'm honest, is far more popular than I ever expected it to be!

Bundles, Deals, and Progress

There's no guaranteed formula when it comes to getting a TTRPG up to a bestseller spot... because if there was I would have a lot more of my entries up in the Platinum category. However, one thing that has helped almost all of these supplements is their inclusion in some long-running, pretty popular bundle deals. Which is why I wanted to call them out, and provide folks links in the event you haven't gotten your copies yet!

Those bundles are:

Numbers Set The Agenda

While this entry is largely taking a moment to pat myself on the back, and to let my regular readers know about a little milestone I recently passed, I also wanted to remind folks of something that we can sometimes forget; publishers make their decisions based on the numbers.

Love of the game is measured in dollar signs.

So if there's a particular supplement of mine (or anyone's really) that caught your eye, keep in mind that how many copies it moves (and how quickly) is one of the primary statistic that publishers will use to give readers more projects just like it. So grab a copy of the game books you like, leave a review, and share the link to boost the signal... because it's a lot easier for writers to get our proposals approved if we move a couple hundred (or a couple thousand) copies of the last installment!

Help Owen K.C. Stephens Roll His Save Against Cancer (And The Healthcare System)

While some folks in the RPG community may not know Owen K.C. Stephens by name, chances are good they're still familiar with his work. A major hand on Pathfinder and Starfinder, he's made content for games like Star Wars Saga, Fantasy AGE, Savage Worlds, 13th Age, and more over his many years in the field. Chances are good that if you went through the books on your shelf (or the PDFs in your folders) that you'd find his name in the contributor section for a lot of stuff you've played over the years.

While he's been a recognizable name, though, he'll also be the first to tell you that nobody who works in the RPG field is paid well... some of us might be paid well for RPGs, but that's not the same thing. And when you wind up having to fight cancer, well, that's when you need all the help you can get.

For someone who has given us so much, let us return that aid in a time of need.

Call The Banners!

Back in February, Owen suffered a pulmonary embolism, which as you'd imagine sent him to the hospital. And while he was in the hospital he was diagnosed with stage 2 cancer. Now that's a rough 1-2 punch for anyone, but it's also important to remember that we're talking about the American healthcare system, here. That means that each day in the hospital still costs thousands of dollars after insurance, and he was in the hospital for several days before he was able to go home again.

While Owen still intends to keep making games and creating lovely toys for all of us to use, it's times like these when a designer could really use the support of the community.

And there are several ways we can make that happen.

And get some great games in the bargain!

If you're on most social media accounts, you've probably seen Owen's Medical Bills Bundle #1, and Owen's Medical Bills Bundle #2 by now. They were getting a lot of attention in the Drive Thru RPG hottest offers, and the response to them was pretty good overall. And if you're looking for a way to help Owen cover his bills so he can come out on top of this situation, grabbing both of them is a great way to do that.

Between the 2 bundles there's over 180 PDFs for a dozen systems, as well as system agnostic content you can use in your games. The estimated value is over $1,500 for all of this stuff put together, and you can get both bundles for around $70 total (or $34.95 each). Pathfinder, Starfinder, DND 5E, 13th Age, Savage Worlds, Shadow of The Demon Lord, Shotguns and Sorcery, setting books, GM tools, and a slew of other stuff that will make your head spin, and all of it available for a ridiculously low price to help out a good cause.

That's not all the options, of course.

But if you've already grabbed the bundles, or you're wondering what else you can do to help, I wanted to give a few additional options, as well. So if you want to go above and beyond the call of duty, consider:

- Follow Owen on Twitter (yeah, it's falling apart, but a replacement has yet to take its place)

It might not seem like much, but as someone who's been in this profession a few years myself, it does make a difference. Even if you can only afford to give a little tip every now and again on Patreon, or you just act as a regular participant and commenter on social media, if a lot of people all do that, it really does add up when all is said and done.

My "100 Kinfolk" Project is Now Available as a Bundle!

As some of my readers out there are no doubt aware, I spent roughly a year and a half tinkering with what I called the 100 Kinfolk Project for Werewolf: The Apocalypse. For those not familiar with the project, I went tribe by tribe out of the core book, and created a list of 100 kinfolk for each of them. The series was capped off by me teaming up with Clinton Boomer, providing a blowout 200 kinfolk for the Black Spiral Dancers!

Anyway, the project's finally finished cooling, and High Level Games decided it was time for the next phase... putting all the tribes together in a single bundle!

If you've been waiting, now is your chance!

What You Get in This Package

For those who just want numbers, you get 13 separate kinfolk lists in this bundle, which amounts to 1,400 kinfolk total! Normally this would run you about $26 if you bought them individually, but the bundle is up for $15. While it means a cut in my royalties, I'm more than happy to take that hit if it means more players are willing to take the dive and put some of these characters in-play at their tables.

Ah, but there's something else, too.

If you're still not sure about the 100 Kinfolk Bundle, though, let me reiterate what I said about it not so long ago in A Response to The "Flaw" in My 100 Kinfolk Collection. In short, I first started this project because I was tired of so many players and storytellers leaning on the edginess of the 90s aesthetic, and using the bad faith excuse of, "it's a horror game," to justify exclusion and poor treatment of players. Since werewolves come from everywhere in the world, and the tribes extend into every part of humanity, I wanted to create a reference that was more inclusive and more welcoming than a lot of the "typical" setups we see. Especially from when the game was younger.

And for those who complained that I ignored too many of the usual archetypes and cringe-worthy things that were tolerated in the game nearly three decades ago, well, I found a place for them. The white-power Get of Fenris kin? The Red Talon kin who wants to murder any human they see? The Black Fury kin who tortures men for no reason other than because they are men? The Shadow Lord kin who abuses their power and makes others suffer for their own personal enjoyment? All of them wound up in the Black Spiral Dancer book.

Because if everything is dark and awful all the time, then what's the point of the game? Werewolf, perhaps more than any other World of Darkness sphere, is about battling the chaos, trying to find the balance, and saving the world. And the only thing that let the tribes succeed for so long was the unity of the pack... without that, everything falls apart.

Just some thoughts to consider, if you weren't sure about whether or not this was a bundle you'd be interested in!
